A waking night is when the carer is expected to remain awake to assist with nighttime duties such as toileting or nighttime anxiety. A sleeping night is when the carer can sleep but may need to assist occasionally. (If assistance is required more than twice during the night, this will be considered a waking night.)
Clients may require assistance getting to bed or wish to have company a night for security. This service will give families a restful night, knowing that their loved one is being cared for by trained professionals. This service can help to build a client’s confidence and help them to feel safe and relaxed at night in their own home.
