How much does home care cost?

If you, your spouse or your reSuppose you, your spouse or your relative is incapacitated because of physical or mental infirmity, and you employ a person to care for the incapacitated relative. In that case, home care costs. When combined with tax relief on Home Care, the savings can be substantial, making private home care an attractive and affordable alternative to long-term residential care.

Tax relief is at the marginal tax rate, either 20% or 41%. To claim tax relief, an IT 47 form must be completed and submitted to the Inspector of Taxes in the local area. All Carers undergo garda vetting, and we check and verify employment history and work references as their employer. How does our service work?

Following the initial enquiry, one of our Care Managers will arrange a visit to discuss and identify the needs and requirements of the client and their family.

A personalised care plan is developed, forming the template for care and continuous assessment, which is fundamental to Homecare Solutions' service.

We take the time to listen and understand individual requirements and skillfully match our Carers to our client's specific needs and personalities. A Carer is then carefully matched and introduced to the client and their specific needs. Client reviews and Carer spot checks will be carried out continuously to ensure that the client and family are satisfied with the level of care provided.

The care plan is reviewed regularly to ensure the client's needs have not changed. At all times, the client has direct access to our Care Managers, who regularly meet with the Client and family to discuss future care requirements. If you would like more information, you can visit How does it Work.

Who is responsible for insuring the carers?

Homecare Solutions has public liability insurance and employers liability insurance which will cover our carers in your home.

What happens if there is a medical emergency whilst the carer is with my loved one?

Our carers are familiar with our lone-worker policy and are trained to deal with emergencies when they are working alone in someone’s home. They will call 999 in the event of an emergency.
